What happens when you delete or pause an automation

Pausing or deleting an automation only ever affects what happens going forward: it stops matching new comments, DMs, or story events, so nothing new gets sent through it. That’s the only thing that changes.

Every real conversation, message, and contact it already created stays exactly where it was — the dashboard’s stats, the Activity feed, Inbox threads, and Contacts all keep showing that history permanently. Deleting an automation never deletes what it already did; there’s no separate step to preserve it, because nothing is ever removed in the first place.
